Today's Storyline

The Washington Mystics recently played the Atlanta dream twice in a row, and were looking to get a monkey off their back. Before their third out of the five matchups with the Dream this season, the Mystics had not beaten the Dream since September 1, 2011. The Mystics snapped a two-game losing streak on August 23 with a huge 74-64 over the dream at home. Monique Currie led the Mystics with 15 points, and Ivory Latta with 14 points, 10 of which scored in the 4th quarter.

The Mystics then traveled to Atlanta on August 28, where they faced the Dream on the road, and came out on top a second time. Winning 85-80 in OT, the Mystics are now 6-9 on the road, winning three of their last four road games. Currie, Latta, and Hill, each with 15 points, led Washington to beat the Dream for the second time this season.

The Mystics are currently in third place in the East, and are looking to finish strong as they head into the playoffs. The Mystics take on Connecticut on the road on Friday, and then return home for a home game against Chicago.
