MYSTICS TO SUPPORT LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL TALENT
Team Also Announces Thibault’s Social Media Participation

WASHINGTON, D.C.–The Washington Mystics and Monumental Network will take part in the festivities during the high school game to be played on Feb. 14 featuring South Lakes High School and McLean High School. The game will be played at South Lakes High School located in Reston, VA and tipoff is scheduled for 5:45 pm.

Mystics Head Coach Mike Thibault will be attending the game in addition to the team’s mascot Pax. Game highlights, postgame interviews with coaches, players, students and fans will be available on Monumental Network.   Fans attending the game will have a chance to win tickets for the 2014 Mystics season as well as other prizes.  

The team also announced that during the game, Coach Thibault will take over the team’s official twitter account (@WashMystics) to share his thoughts on the contest. Moving forward, he will tweet occasionally from the team’s official account to share his general thoughts and opinions on various matters.

Last night the Wizards completed their five game homestand with a win over the Sacramento Kings, 93-84. The Wizards went 3-2 during the stand with victories over Oklahoma City, Portland, and Sacramento. Up next is a two game road trip with visits to Memphis and Houston before the All-Star break where both John Wall and Bradley Beal will be attending for the weekend activities. Bradley will be participating in the Rising Star Challenge and Three Point Contest. John will be in the Slam Dunk Contest and will be a representative for the Eastern Conference in the 2014 All-Star Game. The Wizards take on the Grizzlies tomorrow night at 8:00PM on Comcast SportsNet and WFED-AM 1500/THE FAN-FM 106.7 for radio listeners.
