Wizards Today 12-3-13

The Wizards are now 9-9 and hold the third best record in the Eastern Conference. Washington defeated the Orlando Magic last night at Verizon Center 98-80 giving them their fifth straight victory at home.

Washington held Orlando to an opponent-low 80 points last night. Trevor Ariza tallied a game-high 24 points on 8-of-9 shooting including 4 of 4 from downtown. Ariza has now made nine of his last 10 three-point field goals and has tallied 20+ points four times this season. John Wall recorded his eighth double-double with 16 points and a game-high 13 assists in 30 minutes of action.

The Wizards will have a few days of practice before hosting the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday at Verizon Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. and the game can be seen on Comcast SportsNet and heard on WFED 1500 AM / WWFD 820 AM / 106.7 The Fan / Wizards Radio Network.
