    The Wizards earned a thrilling overtime victory last night beating the Chicago Bulls, 101-99 (OT). Washington now takes a 2-0 series lead back to Verizon Center with hopes to continue their outstanding play. Bradley Beal led all scorers with 26 points, including 4-7 from beyond the arc. Martell Webster came out blazing off the bench with 10 points and two steals. The series continues this Friday night at Verizon Center with an 8:00PM tip off. Comcast SportsNet and ESPN will be providing television coverage and 1500 AM / 99.1 FM will have the call for radio listeners.

    The Wizards kicked off the 2014 NBA Playoffs with a road victory against the Chicago Bulls, 102-93. Nene was the dominant factor in the win, leading all scorers with 24 points to go along with eight rebounds and three assists. Andre Miller provided playoff experience off the bench with 10 points on 5-7 shooting in 14 minutes of play. Washington had one of its best defensive efforts of the season last night, holding Chicago to 18 points in the fourth quarter. Washington takes the early series lead 1-0 with Game 2 at United Center coming on Tuesday at 9:30PM.     The Wizards continue to prepare in DC before they head out to Chicago to take on the Bulls in the first round of the NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs. The Wizards took the season series against the Bulls, 2-1. The last time the two teams met in the postseason, the Wizards won the series 4-2 in the opening round of the the 2005 playoffs. Potential marquee matchup's include John Wall vs. DJ Augustine, Marcin Gortat vs. Joakim Noah, and Bradley Beal vs. Jimmy Butler. The series begins on Sunday at 7:00PM on TNT and Comcast SportsNet and can be heard on 1500 AM / 99.1 FM.

    The Wizards are in Boston tonight for their regular season finale against the Celtics. At 43-38, the Wizards are currently the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference playoff standings with a one game lead over Charlotte and only one game behind Brooklyn for the fifth seed. Depending on how the rest of the games play out this evening, Washington could be either the fifth, sixth, or seventh seed heading into the playoffs.
